FLETCHER INTRODUCES VEE-CUT TOOL FOR ITS FSC SUBSTRATE CUTTER - February 16, 2011
Sydney February 16th 2011 – Connecticut, USA-based sign and display materials handling manufacturer Fletcher-Terry has added a Vee-groove cutting head to its range of material cutting tools for the FSC Substrate Cutter. Vee-cutting of materials such as Kapa, Gator, Forex, Fome-cor and other boards has until now been associated with expensive flatbed machines driven by CAD programmes.
Ben Eaton of Australian Fletcher distributor, Starleaton, says; “The ability to make accurate Vee-cuts on a manual cutter means that signage and display printers can fabricate their own POS and other structures that require 90-degree corners, in-house, quickly and easily. This brings the total number of cutting heads available for the FSC cutter to six, with heads suited to aluminium sheets, aluminium composites, Plastics and acrylics, Gator board, MDF and even glass.”
The new Vee-Groove cutting tool can be fitted to new and existing FSC cutters and features adjustable cutting from 1mm to 5mm and thumbscrew-depth control for fine adjustment of cut depths.
